Oxo has always been a name you can trust.

I have bought many OXO kitchenware, this one surprised me. I didn't have to use it after a little over a month because pieces of plastic broke off around the edges. Only washed in the dishwasher on the top rack. One morning, while having breakfast, we noticed plastic splinters. We throw it away.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Doubt

Leak in connector

I previously bought Oxo and liked the spoon. I bought a new one but now it has a metal ring connecting the handle. This ring is not waterproof. Soapy water comes out when I take it out of the dishwasher. I tried pouring out all the water but when it still came out when I used it for cooking I decided it needed to be removed! This small ring contained a surprising amount of liquid. Pooh!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not reliable

10/10 oddly satisfactory better than others

Strange thing to rate because it looks like such a simple kitchen tool, but it's actually better than any other spaghetti spoon I've used. The reason is the material used. It appears to be some type of fiberglass reinforced polymer. I've had other brands turn chalky white after washing or soften when scooped up with hot pasta, but they don't have this problem. You wouldn't think you need to review a spoon, but this thing works so much better than the others that I decided to tell people about…

Pros
  • Great overall performance

Worked well in carving knives and forks

I needed a potato masher for my nonstick pan and have had good luck with OXO in the past. I used this pusher once and then put it in a goodwill donation box. Too much pressure, too little space between the teeth. Difficult to clean, not easy to wash off. I ended up having to use a toothbrush to get the potatoes out of the little cracks. I'm reusing my 50 year old crusher that my mom gave me when I moved away from home. I think I'll go back to pureeing in a stainless steel pot.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Just what I wanted

When the nonstick pans arrived there were wooden forks. I have had one for many years. Lost recently. Guess what? Not only are there none made of wood, there are also no forks for non-stick pans. I hate pliers for everything. They are bulky. This one arrived today and even without using it I know I'm going to love it. I cook well, I've been cooking for 50 years, I know my dishes. But it's long, so I'll find a shorter one to go with it. I have two sizes. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Great price

Very disappointing!

I have an OXO nylon fork that I use for cooking and has been around for a few years. It's phenomenal. Since I've been using it for many years, it was a bit worn out and I decided to replace it with a new one. This one came and it's not the same quality. The pens are very cheap and thin, unlike the older thicker pens. I absolutely love OXO products and most of my kitchenware is made by them, but they definitely missed the mark with this one. I guess I'll have to start looking for better quality…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Not sure
