Hard to believe that OXO made the best cake server

I saw the Revain Choice label on it and wondered why one cake server is better than the others, I ordered it and tried it. Put simply, it works. The best thing is the micro-serrations that make it easier to cut through the dough. For years I've used a knife to cut through the top crust of a pie, that works better too, very timely. who knew

Pros
  • Kitchen & Dining
Cons
  • High Price

I'm usually very satisfied OXO

That's why I bought this cake. My husband has only used it to lift meatballs and it broke the handle after 6 months of occasional use. Now it's irreparable. And completely useless. As I said, I would say that the OXO product is de facto reliable. So I was really shocked when it happened. I would like to buy it again, but I'm hesitant. I will look for someone else.

Fine while they last, but these cake servers ALWAYS break

I bought two of these in November 2017 and they were good while they lasted - good cutting edge, easy to use, not too ugly...when one one of them broke in half about two years later, I figured it must have just been an accident. But the second one broke EXACTLY the same yesterday, and now I see that other people have written about the same problem, with almost identical photos. So definitely bad design. I will switch mine to a different brand.

Pros
  • Flexible stainless steel head
Cons
  • Crumpled

Who knew something like a cake server could be successful

I am really impressed with this cake server. Who would have thought that something like a cake server could be successful? I guess I would just think a cake server is a cake server. However, in this case it's noticeably better than the cake servers I've used before. Little did I know that notches on each side of a circular server would be useful. This is a feature I didn't know I wanted. But it works great! It cuts through the crust easily, helping the cake stay intact for serving up beautiful,

Pros
  • Smooth brushed stainless steel handle with flexible ribs for comfort
Cons
  • Non automatic

The absolute best serving tool!

I love to bake tarts and cakes and always get frustrated when I cut and serve. I have tried various serving knives, cake cutters, kitchen knives, forks and spoons and have always been disappointed when part or half of a piece falls off. I decided to buy it on a whim after seeing it flash up on my screen. I should have gone to OXO from the start looking for great kitchen tools! He serves and cuts cakes and tarts like a dream. But it is also suitable for serving other dishes! I used it for cakes.

Pros
  • For easy cutting of tarts, quiches and more
Cons
  • Something different
