Gray OXO Twist & Pour Salad Dressing Mixer with Good Grips Review

I bought this to get rid of store bought vinaigrettes. It's great and fun. This is practical because you no longer soil the measuring cups when dressing; side dimensions. This means you waste less olive oil and balsamic vinegar (and I use the best of both). Overall I like it and will buy it as a New Year's gift this year.

Bought a second one because it's such a great product! Very easy to use, the rotating mechanism ensures that the dressing stays mixed for a long time. Keeps well in the fridge, although oil-based dressings tend to set a bit - they become liquid again about five minutes after removing them from the fridge. Not dishwasher or microwave safe (don't repeat my friend's mistake!) but I assure you it's pretty easy to clean with hot water and a sponge and washes out quickly.

I'm not a fan of gimmicks. Still, this is the best kitchen tool I've added in a long time. I only use homemade dressing. I can really measure that. The blade storage works great. While the dressing is in the refrigerator, it will set. I take it out at the beginning of the salad preparation so that it softens a bit at room temperature. The blade will then become strong enough to mix the dressing. I can't remember the last time I was so happy (not just satisfied) with a product.

My wife and I love these salad bowls/blenders. We make a lot of homemade salad dressings and store them in the fridge. The tops on it fit snugly to keep clothes fresh. The internal "twist" mechanism works great, a few quick twists and the bandage fits perfectly. Easy to clean, although OXO claims they're dishwasher safe, we prefer to hand wash them and leave them in soapy water for a while. This is a great salad dressing dispenser. I use this for a ranch sauce I make with coconut milk and it's great to be able to turn the lid on and stir in ingredients that may have separated a bit! I don't use it to make a bottled dressing, I make it in a bowl and whisk until well combined and smooth. In my opinion, it's good to stir just before serving to incorporate the ingredients again. I have used several in my life and I can't tell you how much I love this item. no wobble, all parts move in sync and your dressing rotates/shuffles from there. I've had a few since keeping them for about two years. After this time it becomes increasingly difficult/difficult to maintain cleanliness. In this dressing jar, it's handy to turn the whisk and lightly whip the dressing. It applies very well, does not pour too much at once, but does not drip. A couple of issues I have is that I use it for ranch dressing and the amount listed on the package directions calls for 1 cup of mayonnaise and 1 cup of milk, which is about 1/4 cup more than what comes in this jar .
