Description of Oz 410 Microlight West System

410 Microlight is the ideal low-density filler. When blended with epoxy, it creates a light, easily-worked epoxy fairing compound. Especially suited for fairing large areas. After epoxy thickened with 410 cures, it is about 30% easier to sand than most other epoxy-based fairing compounds. Not recommended for use under dark paint, or other surfaces subject to high temperatures.

Very good. a little goes a long way

I had no idea how far this canister would go. I'm pretty sure I have a lifetime supply of this stuff. Be careful when using it outside. a little breeze will make this thing fly towards you. it is very easy good. which of course is good.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Without a gun

Excellent epoxy filler for final packaging.

This filler mixes with epoxy to form a near perfect encapsulation compound. Excellent leveling, strength and light sanding (if available) become one with your project to restore the perfect putty with no voids. I use it as the final fillet for any marine restoration.

Pros
  • Feels Good
Cons
  • Some Cons

Excellent for fairing

Excellent filler if low strength and easy sanding is your goal. I've found that it doesn't always work well with epoxies other than West System. I'm not an expert on this but generally I find it best to use the same grade when using epoxy with additives.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Great item on hand.

It takes very little material to get a thick peanut butter consistency, but it's great for filling gaps and holes in wood panels without worrying about the wood covering them or further down leaks and needs constant refilling. Warning, it smells pretty fishy. literally.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Fits

Excellent bond but only to be used with West System epoxies.

I often use epoxy resins in my work. West System is my favorite for gluing and has several additives like 410 for thickening, 410 being the softest. Tip: Use 410 and all other West System additives only with West System epoxies (all). Mixing brands leads to unpredictable behavior, such as B. very slow curing.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Long delivery time
