Below is the review I wrote when I first received this shaker (I'll leave it there). I received the shaker in November 2012. It's February 2013 and last night it finally broke. THIS BARLEY LASTED 3 MONTHS! Sorry if I misled anyone in my initial review but I had no idea it would fall apart so quickly. All plastic parts are inside and very cheaply made.

Let's start by saying that this item is really really small. When I think of a salt and pepper grinder, I usually think of large wooden grinders with a very large handle on the end. However after seeing this online I thought it would be a more compact and compact grinder. While it's both, it's comically small. I got this about a week ago so I gave myself a week to use it before writing this review. I have given up buying already ground salt and pepper so this is my first time using a coffee grinder except the waiter asked if I would like freshly ground pepper or salt. From the packaging, the salt and pepper mill and grinder are solid and the weight feels good. It comes with a color booklet with instructions on how to fill and use. I used branded sea salt (for the salt grinder) and whole black pepper.
