Simplified upgrade of my factory junk radio!

I used this to add speakers, an amp and a subwoofer to an inferior factory head unit in my 13 Mustang Boss 302. I only used part of the wiring harness and threw the PAC unit itself in the trash. I'm sure this will work fine, but I don't need it. The wiring harness alone was worth it, allowing me to add some aftermarket goodies without cutting, splicing, or using tape locks on the factory wiring. Plug and play, baby! A nice bonus was the presence in the wiring harness to connect the amp. Itโ€ฆ

Plug and Play on 2011 f150 Base Sync Stereo

People need to do some research. PAC AUDIO, contact tech support and make sure it fits before purchasing. Yes, it fits my base 2011 f150 super team. I only used the wiring harness to keep the radio fully functional. I connected the signal line to the DSP, then to the 5 channel amplifier. Still has full factory control and appearance. My DSP feeds the remote signal into the amplifier. If you use RCA to run a 5 channel signal like I did, you lose the attenuators as you only have 2 channel RCAโ€ฆ

Ford 2005 and up does not include 2013

I have a Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew. I underwent a sound system overhaul because what it contains stinks. I kept the main unit and didn't want to cut the factory wiring due to warranty issues that might arise. The adapters that came with it didn't fit my factory stereo. The PAC is of good quality and if it would fit my truck I would give it 5 stars. Your description for 2005 and later needs to be changed. Just to clarify, I don't have a Sony system or theater add-on. It's just a regular Jane Ford

Just what I needed for my car AV setup

Wanted to add a subwoofer to the factory radio on my 2012 F-150 Lariat without Sony and without Navi. This did EXACTLY what I needed. He added a "remote start" cable to the amp and factory radio RCA outputs. I said it's easy to install because when you pull out the radio you pull a plug from the radio and put it in the middle. I now have a subwoofer in the back of a truck for a fraction of what the local car stereo was trying to charge me. And since it gives you two sets of RCAs (front andโ€ฆ

Very easy way to add a subwoofer

I got a powered subwoofer for Christmas but with a new car (2013 F150) I thought it would be an absolute nightmare to to get the sound cables and trigger cables from behind the ford radio head unit to the subwoofer. This is a device that plugs into the back of the radio box and the wiring harness that originally connected to the radio. It provides the user with four RCA (Gain Adjustable) output jacks as well as the trigger cable needed to easily operate most aftermarket amps with a factory head

Pros
  • Provides 2:1 gain and infinite decay
Cons
  • Available in white only

Remote turn on cable does not provide power to 2005 Ford Freestyle SEL

This item did not work properly on my 2005 Ford Freestyle SEL. I have a 6 disc CD changer and DVD changer in the back seat with a stock audio system (no factory subwoofer). This device transmits audio via RCA, but does not power the remote turn-on cable. I contacted PAC Audio and their technical staff first advised me to replace the device but the replacement issue persisted. PAC Audio asked me to test everything with a multimeter but then told me they didn't know what the problem was andโ€ฆ

Ideal part for adding an amplifier to a factory head unit

I used this addon to connect amplifiers in a 2010 F-150 and a 2011 Mustang. I made a small change which I will detail below. Firstly the product says pre 2010. I contacted PAC and they said it "should" fit 2011 so I tried it and it worked. The F-150 was terribly lacking in the audio department. This was on a 2010 FX2 with a stock head unit, no navigation, no Sony system. You have to turn the volume up more than 3/4 to hear it through the AC and if you roll down the windows you can turn theโ€ฆ
