Pacesetter Header: Exhaust and Emissions

I used it on my 08 Silverado 5.3L. After 3 months they had holes the size of a quarter. I had to buy new heads. This will always be a good reminder why you should NOT buy cheap headlines.

Replacement parts are good for the price

I just got these for my 2009 Silverado 5.3, the first thing I noticed was the weld on the inside. This restricts the flow so I have to grind the weld on the inside and weld on the outside. I'm a locksmith so it's no problem for me to fix it. But in general, someone who doesn't have the know-how might not be too happy with this product. There is a sticker on the lid saying the paint is not a high temp paint so I'll probably wrap it to keep the temp down. All in all for a price these seem like…

These manifolds mount directly to the heads with ease. I would recommend buying better quality gaskets for it (all gaskets). The reason I'm only giving two stars is because the headers don't match the Factor's tailpipes. Their deviation is only a fraction of an inch, and the degree of flare is also wrong. Because of this I had leaks and burst 2 sets of gaskets. Finally I cut the factory pipe and moved it around a bit until everything was lined up and fitted properly. My final complaint is that…

Buy cheap = buy again

Do not seal the Y-flange of the driver's tube! From the first kilometer there was a noise similar to a hole in the exhaust. I felt that the craftsmanship and engineering that matched the factory chimneys were not enough. If you can refit everything completely and "design" the Y-tube flange to fit, then you're fine. Basically you get what you pay for. Buy a Gibson or something reputable if you want a direct fit for your factory exhaust. PS = After 13 months and 15,000 miles I'm going back to the

2011 Silverado 5.3L

Installation wasn't that bad. I had to sand down the paint on it, little did I know it could be paint to protect it during storage and shipping. I just didn't read the description. I applied some Auto Zone ceramic paint to it (without sanding off the original paint) and it disappeared as soon as I brought it up to operating temperature. Installation wasn't too difficult. The only thing I had was on the passenger side. The headers didn't clear the firewall, but not by much. So I took a rubber…
