Great paddle lines and rods for kayaking or canoeing.

I love the strength and stretch of this paddle/rod lead. I used them on my kayak as a paddle and rod leash so I never lose them when they fall off the kayak in the water and I can easily pick them up.

  • Comfortable
Cons

This is one of the best paddle lines

I bought two sets of these lines. In my opinion this is one of the best paddle lines out there. The outer canvas cover gives the leash extra strength when the inner shock absorber is pulled. I added a solid brass latch on one end instead of using the included carabiner for saltwater use. I used to twist the paddle rig and the reels had no traction and broke.

Why spend more on a leash?

Excellent lines. You could easily spend more for a paddle/rod leash but I don't see why you should. After numerous practice somersaults (and one really unexpected one on the trip) I have complete confidence that they will keep my wife and Werner Skagit close by should we go on an unscheduled trip. The only improvement I've made is adding a solid brass carabiner to the end of each hooklink for easier attachment to our kayaks.

  • Absolute legend

  • Not sure

Nice paddle leash: kayaking

The length of the leash is optimal and the leash itself and the included carabiner seem to hold up to saltwater use. I find that the leash's advertised ability to grab the paddle doesn't really work. After a short paddling distance, it detaches and slides over the paddle shaft. It doesn't really bother me, except that the seller says he'll do something he won't. I didn't use the second line in the kit but it's good to have a spare line.

Pros
  • Easy to use

Inexpensive water lifebuoy

If you've ever found yourself in a lake without a paddle (or water), you know how terrifying it is to jump overboard and drag your boat onto shore. Recently, a speedboat sped by on a large lake, leaving a trail big enough to wash the rudder out of my hands. Luckily this leash kept my paddle from floating away and I safely picked up the paddle and continued on my way. When kayaking, it's not always easy to take along collapsible spare paddles. With this leash I can be sure that I will never lose

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
