I gave them to my granddaughter for Christmas. She is 5 years old and loves to draw and she loves these. I love that when she loses her hands - and she will - she will have a lot more. good value for money surprisingly good. No loose ends, which surprised me, and the bristles fit well with all of the brushes I've tested. The palette cups were a nice bonus and are often used with their tempera paints.

The trays are flat and not suitable for large amounts of paint. Acrylic paints dry quickly, while oil paints require constant refilling. I would not recommend it for use in the old classroom. We bought these for occasional use with our Daisy Girl Scout squad and they are great for 5 year olds. The brushes are ok, they are cheap and not washable. Again good for young kids, not great if you want to use this for those looking for more durability.
