The first thing I noticed when trying to put a mug on it was that it looked a little wobbly. Not enough to knock the drink over, but for some reason they don't lay completely flat on the surface. This is my only complaint. Otherwise they look cool and have a very current Zelda design. Totally not disappointed with how they look and that's what made me want them in the first place. I just wouldn't put anything heavy and liquid-filled on it. They are likely to be suitable for regular sized coffee

All four bases are very light and thin with a very plastic feel despite being marked 'metal' on the product. (My magnets stick to the top, so I'm technically assuming it's metal.) The cork base is almost too thin to protrude beyond the outer frame of the stand's base, but it mostly stays in contact with the table . EDIT - did the same as the other review and tried sticking a magnet to it. It's sticky, so technically it's metal, but as thin and plastic as possible. In addition, the cork is covered with metal so that the coasters do not even touch the cork. I am checking my rating for 3 stars. False advertising is NOT metal. General. Just cork backed plastic. We've had these coasters for about a week now and so far they're holding up well. It's certainly a great option in terms of cost, but you get what you pay for. I was surprised at how light they are considering they are made of metal and cork. Can't complain about the price, but if I had one criticism it would be that the cork is supposed to soften the bottom of the stand so it doesn't scratch the table. The problem is that the metal wraps around the cork, so there's really nothing stopping this

These are fun Zelda Coasters with great design and colors and great value for money. They're smaller than standard coasters so you'll need to be more specific when putting your mug or class on them, but that doesn't really matter to me. The biggest problem is that the cork layer doesn't extend past the metal edge of the coasters, so the metal itself rests on the surface you're trying to protect.
