Appears to be good quality.

I've been trying to puncture my hoses with slime. It was ok, but I was still floored. I have no illusions that this will work well. As a result, a tubular tire is not as puncture-proof as a tubeless tire. The main reason for this is that the stiffness of the tube is much lower than the stiffness of the tire. I hope this helps someone and allows me to get a few more miles off my tires and a few fewer punctures. Good quality.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • No Instructions

great price on self sealing tubing.

This is the best price I have found for a pair of 27.5 self-sealing PV tubes. high quality tubes with lots of sealant (slime) inside. Will be buying more of these for my other bikes in the future - I hate flats! Update - I drove through an open field this week and got at least 40 lugs, most of which blew out my tires. Thanks to those hoses, all the holes were sealed instantly and I was able to complete the rest of my 30 mile ride.

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Empty

I'll stick with normal hoses for now!

This was my first self sealing tube and I'm not impressed at all. I ride 3,000 miles a year, mostly on tarmac and some dirt roads. I installed this pipe about 2 weeks ago and didn't drive more than 100 miles before it deflated overnight. I found a hole the size of a tiny hole that I believe the slime will close, it was very small. I installed it on the rear wheel according to the instructions. I swapped out a lot of tubes, so I think the installation went well. If anyone has other suggestionsโ€ฆ

Can spray you with a dangerous gel if you puncture.

I bought three of these because they replaced my old pricked tubes and I figured I wouldn't need the third one for a while. Definitely worked great for me when removing studs from my tires. HOWEVER, I drove over a piece of broken glass that got stuck in the tire and then shot me in the face while I was spraying the gel on myself. The directions say it shouldn't touch your skin so I have to say that I'm terribly afraid of ever using this product again if it means a sting could end up dirt andโ€ฆ

Broke after three trips.

I usually buy these as a backup for tubeless cameras. My tubeless ripped so I put it in as a temporary fix until I fixed it. On my third ride, after a short ride on the local trails after not taking my camera off, it was flat on the way back. I tried to inflate it again but it went flat immediately. I finally got home and took it out only to find a 1cm or so slit on the inside of the hose (no place for it to sting while riding) which was leaking a decent amount of mucus. useful for cyclists

I ride my bike to work every day so I installed these inner tubes to avoid punctures. I can point to at least one case where this worked: one morning I couldn't avoid a big pothole in the road which must have caused a slow leak because the front tire was flat when I got home from work and out into the public had to transport home. Back home I pumped up the tire again to see if the tube would hold. And months later it seems to be holding up! I'm deducting a star because the valve often getsโ€ฆ

Valve clogged, unable to vent after first pump

At first I thought I wouldn't bother with the weight loss and buy a self-sealing hose, but the sealant is either too thick for the bottom of the valve core or too old. It clogs the port so much that I can't deflate to adjust tire pressure. So this product just doesn't allow realistic mountain bike use. At 430g, that's a full pound too. Regular midweight whistles range in weight from 172g to 269g, note I'm comparing to similarly priced Maxxis Welterweight and Goodyear whistles. That would be aโ€ฆ
