A tweak or two wouldn't hurt

Pretty good microwave. Nice and compact on the counter. I wish the cook time buttons were backlit and the interior lighting was a bright incandescent bulb rather than a dim LED bulb. You can barely see the food inside unless you open the door to check the food. Aside from those two caveats, overall a good microwave. I hope that the manufacturer makes these two adjustments. I think then the ratings would be much higher.

I love the warm up feature.

While I miss the numeric keypad that our previous microwave oven used to accurately enter time and energy, I appreciate the reheat function of this oven. Regardless of the size of the plate of leftovers to be reheated, this setting allows you to reheat without burning anything. Very convenient. As some others have pointed out, the interior light is a rather dim LED. It can be a problem if your kitchen lighting isn't strong enough to see inside. This is a small problem IMHO.

I'm glad I waited to write this review.

Well it took us a while to figure out how to use this model hence only 4 stars. After re-reading the instructions for the reheat sensor, we really got to grips with this feature. We put leftovers or other dishes too dry. If we added some water to allow the sensor to work it would be much better. We've found that when we use a food lid, the sensor typically starts timing when our food is just right. If not, it's easy to let it run for a while to get the right temperature. Other features like the

Design Fiasco - Microwave Ovens

So first the good news. It's nuclear, it's relatively powerful for its size, and it has plenty of interior space given its compact size. At the same time, buttons, logic and programming functions are a design fiasco. Do you really need 5 loud beeps after each cycle - all beeps are always loud and cannot be turned off. It would be nice if the beeps turned off when I open the door so I don't wake up the rest of the household while I'm heating up breakfast at 5am. How about backlit keys that areโ€ฆ

Cooks very evenly in microwave

The microwave I replaced was over 15 years old. This one is smaller, but the cooking surface is about the same. So far I've been very happy with some reduction in hot spots and cold edges. The inverter technology seems to work as advertised. There is a great instruction manual to help me use the touch cooking feature. There are multiple buttons for different products. I haven't used everything yet. The main difference was the lack of a digital cooking pad. As previously mentioned, there areโ€ฆ

Everything that should be

I've been reading about Panasonic microwaves for many years. They are truly "different" from other microwave ovens as they use inverter technology to modulate (reduce) microwave energy as needed to cook different types and amounts of food. Most microwave ovens have the power either on full power or off. Panasonic microwaves reduce the power steplessly and steplessly from level ten to one. This largely eliminates hot and cold spots in cooked and raw food, ensuring everything is cooked evenly and
