Great product at any price

This is for the Panasonic BDT270 Blu-ray DVD Player. I had an old Panasonic that just died after five years of great work. Earlier this week I bought a Sony BDPS6700 to replace it. Everyone said it was great. Had not. i hated it Sony generally didn't render DVDs very well. Easy to set up and use, but horrible image no matter how hard I try to tweak it. I sent it back and received a Panasonic. The BDT270 is a budget turntable, nowhere near as good as my old Panasonic; however far superior to…

Almost excellent.

[See update below.] I've had this player for a few weeks now and everything seems to be working as advertised - very well. I haven't tried the 3D feature as I don't have a TV. I had one pleasant and one less pleasant surprise: very good: I discovered that Netflix movies can be streamed with Panasonic with subtitles. That's a big plus for me as I don't hear as well as I used to. I have three other Blu-ray players and none of them can do this. I always assumed Netflix was to blame. I wonder if…
