This is a good phone in terms of performance but there are some oddities. With wired phones you can't hear your own voice through the handset and my husband just can't get used to it. At first we thought one was broken but we replaced it and got a third one and all three are in this condition. I always come last when it comes to tech, so I prefer wired phones. I've had several, most of them Panasonic. With this phone (depending on your needs of course) they got it right. But Panasonic always seems to meddle here at least once (there's no HOLD on the handsets, even though it's a dual-line phone!). I really like this phone but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lock button issue. Satellite phones do not have a dedicated hold button for the caller. I knew this beforehand, but ordered it anyway, and as annoying as it is, it still suits my needs better than many of the other phones I've researched. To use the HOLD button you need to navigate to the MENU button and then scroll until you see HOLD on the screen and then press OK to hold it. So difficult and uncomfortable. Very stupid

I originally bought this for two reasons - corded phone and speakerphone. Unfortunately, the hands-free facility is not suitable for calls. It only makes sense to navigate through the voice menu. Any time someone speaks while you're on the speakerphone, they won't hear you. So if you're on a conference call and trying to intervene, good luck. This phone isn't for you when you need it.
