Great except for the headphone jack

Can't give 5 stars as only the headphone jack bothers me. First you have to make sure the headset plug is plugged in well, and if it's L-shaped like mine (don't know how to describe that), you have to make sure the L part of the plug is facing forward down or the headset will turn on and off. Second, on my old phone, I could leave the headset connected to the network the whole time, but the device would still ring. This device when the phone rings the audio goes to a headset which I don't wear…

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Don't listen to whiners

If you read all the reviews of anything you want to buy from Revain you end up buying nothing at all. I need a two line phone in my home office. I'm on the phone all day. This phone suited me perfectly, but I read a number of negative reviews. So I bought an extended warranty for a few euros. I'd forgotten how much it was, but now I knew I wasn't going to get stuck with something that was going to break after a short while. So far it looks like a well made product. I don't use the cell phone…

CAN'T HELP WITH THIS ARTICLE

This is a good phone in terms of performance but there are some oddities. With wired phones you can't hear your own voice through the handset and my husband just can't get used to it. At first we thought one was broken but we replaced it and got a third one and all three are in this condition. Cordless phones are good in this regard, they're pretty clear and easy to use, but I need to figure out how to hold a call on a cordless phone. It is not clearly marked if there is even a path. Maybe…

Universal Telephone --= Like it!

I always come last when it comes to tech, so I prefer wired phones. I've had several, most of them Panasonic. With this phone (depending on your needs of course) they got it right. But Panasonic always seems to meddle here at least once (there's no HOLD on the handsets, even though it's a dual-line phone!). This phone (KX-TG958#) can do many things, but its versatility comes at a price: you have to read the manual. If manual reading isn't for you, look elsewhere. However, it all makes sense…

Great phone with one caveat.

I really like this phone but I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the lock button issue. Satellite phones do not have a dedicated hold button for the caller. I knew this beforehand, but ordered it anyway, and as annoying as it is, it still suits my needs better than many of the other phones I've researched. To use the HOLD button you need to navigate to the MENU button and then scroll until you see HOLD on the screen and then press OK to hold it. So difficult and uncomfortable. Very stupid

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Compatibility

I originally bought this for two reasons - corded phone and speakerphone. Unfortunately, the hands-free facility is not suitable for calls. It only makes sense to navigate through the voice menu. Any time someone speaks while you're on the speakerphone, they won't hear you. So if you're on a conference call and trying to intervene, good luck. This phone isn't for you when you need it. The speakerphone quality isn't very good either, but is acceptable if you get close enough to the microphone…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is great
