Next best thing to another pair of hands

I've been a Panavise fan for over 30 years when I owned an electronics repair shop. When we closed the deal we liquidated a lot of instruments, Panavise was one of them. I got the opportunity to get back into electronics repair and am slowly building up my workshop. One of the differences is that the old Panavise had two levers supporting the board on the edge. The vacuum base works great on plastic and laminate surfaces. If you don't have a smooth surface to rest your mug on, try one of the other options with a different base. If it's not being sucked it will wobble a bit as the work trapped inside makes it heavy. Nylon lined sponges work great. Hard enough…

Ideal for hobbyists and electronics enthusiasts

I can't say enough good things about this vise. I confess that I expected it to work perfectly when I ordered it and envisioned attaching it to my desk for soldering and other hobbies. In fact, it works exactly as I expected. I wasn't disappointed! I really like that I can attach this vise to my desk when I need it and then just put it out of the way when I'm done. This is something you just can't achieve with a traditional permanent installation vise. It probably won't work at all on a surface
