Good build quality. Threaded 1/4 male and female ends. Has some weight which I prefer. Perfect size for what I needed. Bought two of these. I will buy again. happy customer

Really, size doesn't matter. This 6" rod has brought a lot of joy to our studio. We used it on a camcorder where the tripod had to be removed to access the SD card. By using this end mounted rod we can use the SD - Simply remove the card now.

The build quality is pretty good and I like the feel of the weight. However, it's just not compatible with my gadgets.1. The 1/4 thread is longer than usual (see picture) and therefore leaves a gap to the tripod head. The gap is still evident even if I tighten the screw ignoring that it will break the head.2. There is a cutting ring on the inside that doesn't work with some threaded heads on my UIEBIT C-Clamp. Unfortunately this doesn't work with the specific thread I want to use :(

There really isn't a word to say about a 6" piece of metal tubing with a 1/4" screw/thread - it either works or it doesn't and it definitely does. Personally I've used it with a Manfrotto Super Clamp to get a little more clearance from the attachment point when attaching a small head - and for that task it's a champ. Pleasantly surprised at how durable it is, Panavise definitely feels it's important to sell quality components (much like Manfrotto). Accident.
