There are markings on the dial for off, 1, 2 and on. If you have turned the knob to the off, 1 or 2 position, you will not feel any heat at all. You have to turn it almost all the way up to get heat. A pair of grilles in front of the high, around the 10 o'clock position on the dial, is where the heat starts. So they're very warm, but you have to turn the knob almost to the maximum setting to start the heat.

I was happy to find them - so pretty and at a great price - given the quality construction they were able to sell them for a much higher price. My feet are very dry. I put it on with lotion in the evening and then put it on top of the lotion until morning. Sometimes I can use those two or three nights. What a difference to my legs in just a few nights.

They melted the fabric and my studio smelled like burnt plastic. In the first week of work, the dial is difficult to see. Wouldn't recommend it. Could have started a fire. Heated so much that it left burn marks on the outside

I bought these because they feel a bit more "upscale" and not as flimsy and cheap as other styles. You are beautiful and fat. But when I plug them in, even though it's three temperature settings, if you turn on one and two, it doesn't turn on. You have to turn it on the hottest setting. And then if you put someone's hands in there, they burn. Then you give up. Which eventually just turns off. So I'm very disappointed in them. I'll give you another test

I do not like it, the stiffness is hard and does not soften even at the highest temperatures, it is just difficult to relax and if like me you can not see the dial, there are still no difference between the times, everything is pink. I wish I could just go back but like some I'm desperate for arthritis relief, disappointed ;(

I don't know what to do with these boots. They do not work when connected to an extension. And I've tried tucking the booties into a few different types of stripes. no-go! If they are connected to a direct outlet, then everything is fine. Once I open my spa they may be useless. Most beds should have an exit strip to allow any equipment used to reach your guest who is receiving treatment. Maybe because it's made in China?

I have Psoriatic Arthritis. I have used hot paraffin wax on my hands and feet but the confusion from using it on my feet was terrible. I find this to be a much better solution for my feet. It would be ideal if the temperature controller was more reliable. It's hard to tell how far to turn the dial to heat them up, turns out it's close to the maximum setting and if you push a hair further it gets too hot.
