An important investment

Let me tell you my story. having a top notch hydraulic braking system and the fact that my local bike shop charged $35 per axle to change the pads. I chose this SAFE tool to pry open the pads and the OEM pad replacement kit priced at $9.99 for TWO sets. Pads I get more than $50 savings! Not to mention having this tool on hand for future replacements. I can't be wrong And it's a lot easier than you think to do it yourself!

Pros
  • Tools for the shop
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Surprisingly poor workmanship

I have bought many Park Tools over the years and accepted the premium they charge believing I paid for quality. This simple tool put an end to that perception. The leading edge of the instrument is uneven and curved, probably as a result of a fall. This damage is easily repaired, but if a German company had done that, it would never have left the factory floor. My blind faith in Park Tools is over.

Pros
  • Sports and Outdoors
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Disc Brake Pad Diva

I didn't think I really needed this until I saw how my LBS technique works, the pads open up with it. I went straight away and bought this one. I used it to keep the disc brake pads as wide as possible when one of them starts to stick a little. I have not operated the brake lever with the brake discs or pads removed, but I understand that in such circumstances it is necessary to properly separate the pads again. When spotless, disc brakes are amazing. When they go crazy, they hurt. This will…

  • Could have been a newer model
