Part does not fit ROTO UBB 4630

I bought this because I read it fits ROTOR BB. Does not fit *NEW* UBB 4630 ROTOR.Cup is the same diameter as BB. Thus the cup will never fit on the slots. I had to send it back and order the correct ROTOR part number C00-004-00100 from overseas.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Poor example of a quality parking tool

Does the job but is too soft. After two uses, the aluminum body at the ratchet/torque wrench connection warped so much that I had to use large pliers to pry it off the ratchet. Should at least be made of a stronger material at the top.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Too soft and too thin

If it slips off the bottom bracket shell once while tightening, it will severely damage the aluminum tabs and later scratch your bottom bracket shells. It has to be steel. In addition, the body of the tool is much thinner than the equivalent park tool for Shimano bottom brackets. Mine is already looking a bit warped after a single use and looks like it won't stand up to storage use.

  • Lots of good vibes

Is this really the Park Tool?

I usually love Park Tools, but this BB tool was designed for looks, not performance. With use it slipped and started rounding the edges. I got frustrated and tried the Corki tool. The corki tool doesn't look good but it works without removing the bb. I want to return this tool, but I missed the deadline. Park Tools should recall this tool!

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I really don't like it, it's ok

Poor Quality Tool - Bottom Bracket

I have been a professional bicycle mechanic for over two decades. This is the first (and hopefully last) bottom bracket tool I've seen or owned made of aluminum. After just a few uses with a torque wrench according to the manufacturer's specifications, the socket began to wobble. This is not a quality tool and it is not built to last. If you only need to mount a bottom bracket or two, this might work for you. Otherwise stay away.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Available in White Only

With Park Tools you get more than you pay for

You get what you pay for and in this case you get a lot more. I wasn't sure what BB tool to use other than for my SRAM cups so I called Park Tool and they put me in touch with one of their techs. I gave him the make and model and emailed him the photo. He quickly figured out which one to buy and sent me a link to their video on how to take it off and take it apart. Of course, that saved me a lot of time and nerves. I changed cranks and bushings like a surgeon in under an hour. I will never buyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Build Confidence
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works as expected, good device! I wish it was steel instead of aluminum

I wish the material was a little tougher when used for RaceFace bottom bracket so flat that even Parks specially designed tool that does just as much costs like a RaceFace turbine bottom bracket, keeps slipping? however, it slipped off by hand despite being pressed against the bottom bracket shell, damaging the tool and scratching the bottom bracket shell. If RaceFace had made the notches a little deeper or hadn't created that slope in the bottom bracket shell, the engagement would have beenโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Not the best

Works as expected, good device! I wish it was steel instead of aluminum

I wish the material was a bit tougher when used for RaceFace bottom brackets even slips Park's specially designed tool that costs the same as a RaceFace Turbine- Bottom bracket, constantly off? Although pressed against the car body, it slipped, damaging the tool and scratching the car body. If RaceFace had made the notches a little deeper or hadn't created that slope in the bottom bracket shell, the engagement would have been perfect. It works as intended. , good tool! I wish it was steelโ€ฆ
