This is a good starter set of keys but remember these are consumables. They don't last as long as Park Tools single strokes, but if you don't need them too often they're fine. I have two bikes that get repaired twice a year and they won't last very long. Most department store bikes require 15mm.

Having the right tools for the job goes a long way, especially if you're not a professional. These things are great and very durable. Of course these are not regular wrenches and should be used for that, but they work great for cones and have the great quality you've come to expect from PARK TOOL. I used to have a cheap one that was soft metal and bent easily. These are hardened, I like that. Very happy with them.

This allowed me to repackage the bearings in 4 wheels and then replace all the bearings in 2 wheels for my family bikes. I wish they were made of slightly thicker metal; However, they worked perfectly for me. That's fine. They fit well. They are super thin. But they are unimaginably short. Don't buy them thinking you can apply any amount of torque to them, like removing the pedal. They're incredibly thin, which is great. except when you need to put some muscle on them. Then they are so thin that my hands hurt. And I'm a 20+ year old automotive technician with hands to prove it. I will not return them because they will find their use. But they have their disadvantages.

These are small wrenches designed for working in tight spaces and with low torque. They are not designed for use on pedals. They are intentionally smaller and thinner for use on your axle and wheel bearing nuts. The thinner size works well for the inner bearing nut, and the shorter length prevents you from over-tightening. Using the right tool for the job helps and they are great for their intended purpose.
