Description of πŸ”§ Enhanced SEO: Park Tool SG-6 Threadless Saw Guide

Ensures a straight, clean cut on 1", 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" threadless fork steerer tubes. Also works great for cutting handlebars or other round tubes from 22mm to 33mm. Non-scratching composite body incorporates steel threads and a steel reinforcing plate to withstand the rigors of heavy shop use.

Suitable for 1 " thread and 1 1/8 " threadless.

Great tool! I bought this for a threadless fork, but it worked great with 1" threads too. The clamp body and clamp are made of hard plastic. I was able to tighten the clamp enough to hold a 1" threaded fork in the clamp and cut them off without damaging the clamped threads. No need to clean the threads, everything fitted together. Great!

You can't go wrong with Park Tool

There's nothing like having the right tool for the right job. After paying at the store to have a new suspension fork installed because I didn't have the right stem cutting tool. They did a mediocre job and didn't cut the stem so I had to fix it. Parking tools to the rescue. Like all park tools, it is very well made and easy to use. And to make the purchase even better. Installing a new suspension fork on my fiancΓ©'s bike this weekend. Already paid.

Good for my job at Bike Tools & Maintenance

Usually Park Tools are the best or close, it's just good not great. It was more of a generic version of a relatively unknown brand. When I installed it in my vise I was initially happy that it fit and was secure. The fork slipped and tightened well and was very secure. Then when I grabbed my hacksaw the blade didn't go through the guide, it went fine on one side but the blade didn't go through the other side. I had to unscrew the hex screw to loosen it for the blade to fit. If I had bought a…

A must for DIY enthusiasts.

If you enjoy working around the house, this is a must-have for carbon bike owners. Carbon bike parts are expensive and getting the straightest possible cut on these expensive parts takes the guesswork out. While there are many homemade straight cuts out there, I decided not to go down that route as I was cutting through a fairly expensive carbon steerer tube. Even if you use it sparingly or heck just once, it's less than the cost and inconvenience of having your LBS do all the work. You can…

Cut your fork! Best In Store Tools

This, like all my park tools, is of a very high quality. The clip holds the fork well and fits my 1" and 1.125" carbon forks. To use it, first clamp the saw guide in a vise (luckily my workbench has the clamp built in). Then you move the fork. insert into the saw guide and clamp the fork - By oiling the new hacksaw blade, the cut becomes smoother and fewer carbon dust particles remain in the air - The guide then simply guides the blade through the fork. The cut is good and even. This required a
