Description of Park Tool CL-1 Chain Lube Bottle (4 oz) - Synthetic Blend for Enhanced Performance

Using PTFE and a proprietary blend of oils, Park Tool Chain Lube works great in wet or dry conditions. It penetrates, reduces friction, prolongs component life, displaces moisture, and protects parts from rust and corrosion. Also work great on cables, spoke nipples, and derailleur and brake pivots. 4 oz. bottle. This item is not for sale in Catalina Island. This item is not for sale in Catalina Island.

Great for chain. The bottle leaked in the car!

You can trust Park Tools to make great chain lube, and my mountain bike chain and shifters are dead quiet on the trail. But I carry some of my supplies in the car and was very disappointed to find the bottle dripped all over the mat even with the lid tightly closed. Good product. Wrong packaging.

Good Stuff: Sport

I purchased this product because a trusted bike mechanic warned me about the long-term dangers of White Lightning brand lubes. This stuff seems pretty good, but be aware that despite the lid allowing you to regulate the flow a bit, a lot of lube comes out pretty quickly so you'll probably have to wipe off the excess when you're done, especially when You deal with dirt or dust on your travels. Old Cleaners Helper

There are many concepts to chain lubrication and this one is old if I have time. It's a synthetic blend, so it traps more dirt than a full synthetic. What I do is hit the vertebrae with this thing. Then, a few days later, coat the chain with a thin layer of RemOil (Teflon spray). The combination works great for me. Yes, there are better chain lubes. But unless you're a professional racer or don't ride bad-weather bikes for more than a week, there's nothing wrong with this lube.

Lubricates well. Great helpful videos from Park Tools

It's a wet lube that likes to drip on my driveway. But it works really well and has allowed me to not tweak the rear derailleur settings to avoid skipping gears. I now ride my e-bike with high torque without skipping and more quietly. E-bikes place high demands on chains and gears and you have to adjust everything perfectly. Very happy with this product. I also use morontube's parktool videos so wanted to thank the company for their free videos.

Excellent quality, poor control

The quality of the lube is incredible, very comfortable to drive once applied. My only problem is controlling the application. Without squeezing the bottle and just letting it flow out is more than enough. I've tried adjusting the nozzle but it either comes out too quickly or not at all. I feel like I end up wasting so much time. Luckily it's cheap, otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. Park Tool is a fantastic brand with extremely fair prices, but I wish they had paid a little more attention to…

Park Tool is one of the best brands for all cycling needs.

I don't want premature chain problems and considering the price difference between this and no name brands, buying Park Tool Oil was an easy decision. . I have used this oil several times so far and am happy with the results. The tip makes it easy to attach to a chain or other component. Newbie cyclist tip: Clean the chain first, removing all dirt and sand before lubricating the chain, derailleur and derailleur with fresh oil. Otherwise, you'll end up with a grainy paste that will wear out your

Great lube but new cap leaks

Lube works great but I don't like the packaging. It came with a longer applicator tip - not the same as the plain cap pictured. The tip is part of the cap and unscrews, allowing you to apply the product through a small hole in the end. This part works fine. The whole cap didn't fit the bottle snugly and when I had it in my toolbox while riding it leaked and lost about 10% of the oil. I examined the cap and there wasn't a single spot where it would be airtight when the bottle was on its side. I…
