Description of πŸ”§ Enhance Your DIY Projects with Parts Express Nickel Plated Nibbling

Simply drill 3/8" hole insert cutting head and compress handles. Gives you the ability to make square holes for fuse holders, special connectors displays etc. Material to be nibbled is placed in the gap between the punch and blade channel. By squeezing the handles together, the punch will move down into the channel, cutting out a slug of metal. A scribe line can be followed by looking down on work in this position. A slot is cut by making successive cuts.

An easy way to make small cuts in sheet metal

This punching tool is ideal for making small cuts in sheet metal or plastic. I've been using one I originally bought at Radio Shack for years. It ended up breaking so I ordered this one which looks just like my original. I've used it for small jobs like trimming some excess metal on door hardware (much quicker than a file), cutting custom mounting holes for small electrical devices (knobs, displays, etc.), etc., and all sorts of other made-to-order jobs . It works by biting off small pieces…

Pros
  • You can trace the marking line by looking at the workpiece in this position. The slit is cut with successive cuts.
Cons
  • weak

My First Puncher - I'm a believer

Although I can't compare different rodents as this is my first I had a great experience with this one. I can't believe I went so long without it. Things that used to require a lot of measuring, marking, drilling, dremelling, etc. are now fairly easy to do. For example, make a square hole for an IEC socket in the back panel. This won't work on very thick metal - better leave that to a professional if you want nice results. I find it difficult to say exactly what size due to differences in…

Pros
  • When you squeeze the handles, the punch enters the channel and cuts out a piece of metal.
Cons
  • I will add later

Like other hand punches, this one didn't work very well

I gave 2 stars for ergonomics which is probably high. If you only take a few bites (and don't achieve much), that's fine. Cutting holes in sheet steel for a computer case was TERRIBLE. I glued some mouse pads to the handles, which might help a little. I would give 1 star but I have completed my project. The tool often jams and assistance is required to clear the jam. I tried lubricating it hoping it would help keep the chips from getting stuck. There are no dice. Sometimes the cuts were only…

Pros
  • The material to be punched is placed in the gap between the punch and the knife channel.
Cons
  • Was damaged
