Bends under pressure but doesn't break. A WHILE.

So I was debating whether to give this device 3 or 4 stars. Here's why. It's plastic, I can't deny the fact that it's plastic because I knew I was buying plastic. As an aside I bought it because I had an "open box" motherboard that had the original metal stripped out of it and the plastic replacement was bent when I screwed on the Wraith cooler. (I also saw this in another person's comment). For example, it's almost scary how much it bends after tightening. Metal with holes going more through…

Keep Your Stock Clips

I ended up ordering these because I threw the originals out of my mobo because I was using the cooler that came with my AMD processor. Well that was a bad idea, I went with the upgrade cooler, and the new cooler required these clips to attach to the mobo. It sucks that I had to pay $9 for two plastic pieces but then again they arrived about 16 hours after I ordered which was VERY amazing and nice since they said they wouldn't arrive in two days. Overall they work great and shipping was…

Pros
  • Slim Design
Cons
  • Negative Gift

I originally ordered my computer through a assembler as I was saving a lot of money on do-it-yourself assembly back then, upgraded my cooler and after cleaning my CPU found the cooler I was replacing lacked standard clips cooler AM4. Imagine my disappointment when I realized I didn't have the right attachments for my new Corsair cooler, which was already cased and ready to go. A quick search and I found this for $8. 2 days later I'm ready to go. I already had a metal backplate on my MOBO, so I…

Exactly as described. No problem

I build a lot of new computers and have a bad habit of throwing away AM4 brackets when using the included AMD Wraith Ryzen CPU cooler. I recently had an issue requiring me to run warranty tests on an Asrock AB350M Pro4 board as the issue I was having was either an issue with the board or an issue with the Rzyen 5 2400G processor. I was planning on using an AM4 A6 processor with an AB350M board, but in the big moment I realized I had thrown away the original brackets and needed to order another…

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

They will not work with Wraith coolers.

When you install the product, it looks almost identical to the standard back panel. Well it isn't! If you try to use the Wraith coolers that come with Ryzen CPUs, the mounting points (screw holes) on the back will be about an inch shorter. This is a shame as I now had to look for another cooling solution to match this backplate, but if I had known about this issue I would not have purchased this product.

  • Robust construction

I originally ordered my pc through the assembler as he saved me a lot of money doing it myself back then, I updated the cooler and after cleaning the processor found that the cooler I have replaced the removed OE AM4 radiator clips. Imagine my disappointment when I realized I didn't have the right accessories for my new Corsair cooler, which was already cased and ready to go. A quick search and I found this for $8. 2 days later I'm ready to go. I already had a metal backplate on my MOBO, so I…
