I'm new to pastel work and learned sandpaper at the hardware store. I wanted to try professional and archival paper. This particular brand was recommended to me by some professional artists who amazing! Work, but I've found that paper doesn't hold color well unless you actually layer it and blending can be tricky. This UK Sanded Paper is a Superb Heavyweight (300gsm) pastel paper. Grit, which isn't listed on the packaging I have, is relatively good - I suspect it's rated at 600 for paper sold in the US. This is a neutral white not easily found in sandpaper sold in the US. If it didn't have to be shipped from the UK this would be my favorite pastel paper.
