I'm new to crocheting and not very familiar with yarn weight descriptions. In any case, the thread is much thinner than I expected. So I will return it. In the picture, the gray yarn is the expected thickness and the pink yarn is the item purchased.

I was a bit disappointed when I opened this package and received a skein smaller than the palm of my hand (I'm a small person). I mean $8 for that?! But it's my fault for not reading more carefully. Overall the yarn is great but not at all worth the amount you get.

It's a bit agonizing to be honest less than 3 but more than fingering. Very soft. So happy with that. The color of the strand is "not" the color it really was. It was more of a "mossy" color. disappointment there. But I love the texture and the feel so much. If you made a delicate children's dress, it will look beautiful. I need to think of an alternative color.

It's SMALL. I bought five to start with the quilt because I loved the colors, but oh my gosh you're going to need dozens of these to do a larger project.
