Confusing needle size recommendations

I ordered two balls and one recommended 2.75mm needle (US 2) and the other – knitting needles 3.25 mm (US 3). I knitted free and used large ones. Yarn ordinary sock. I like the colors very much. There is a pattern of light/medium/dark gray stripes, grey/dark purple stripes and grey/teal stripes. It's gender neutral. 50 grams is enough for ONE medium sized sock. I have not yet washed or dried the finished sock.

Pros
  • Ball size: 50 g, 1.75 oz, 152 meters / 166 yards
Cons

For a pair of socks you need two balls of yarn. nice colors

knitted socks from this yarn. The socks are beautiful. easy to use. but although the amazon description doesn't say it, for adult socks you need two balls of yarn. I later bought a second ball and it fitted well. the colors are beautifully bright and the yarn is very smooth on the feet, although i have diabetic feet, i always wear a smooth liner with them. Most people wouldn't need it. I will order this yarn brand again. I have always been happy with Patons products.

Pros
  • care: machine wash tumble dry do not bleach do not iron do not dry clean
Cons
  • i will write later

My only hit is that I ordered two.

The only problem is that I ordered two skeins at the same time and the color lots don't match. Visually they look good, but the stripes on one strand are slightly longer than the other, so although I started wearing the socks on both strands in the same place, I now turned the heel and the socks are now a strip shorter. each other. The intended recipient doesn't care, but if I make an effort to match them, I'd appreciate it if they did. It's not the yarn itself, it's because the seller didn't…

Pros
  • Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rows on 2.75 mm needles (US 2)
Cons
  • A few minor things

Patons Croy is my favorite!

I have tried many sock yarns over the years. This one is my favourite. It has a pleasant "handle", does not splinter, is colour-fast and abrasion-resistant. When washed as advertised, it doesn't feel like it, but even when washed in warm water, machine washed with other items, and tumble dried, it still doesn't feel like felting or pilling (although I don't find it would recommend it). At Kroy I never have to rehearse (after the first pair of socks) so I can just grab needles and start knitting

Pros
  • Composition: 75% Washable Wool/ 25% Nylon
Cons
  • Dear Sir or Madam,
