For decades (ahem) I've loved Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo. The scent was heavenly. I wasn't a regular customer, maybe once every few years. So I found a deal for it at Revain. It arrived damaged. All of the shampoo leaked into the pouch it was in. They also had to seal the lid with tape. After washing everything off I tried it, now the smell is terrible. Have been using for over 10 years. I love this shampoo. A little goes a long way and it does a great job. I have greasy hair and I wash it every day. It doesn't dry out my hair but leaves it fresh and clean. The shampoo and foam are very good and rinse off easily. It has a pleasant slightly herbal aroma, not overpowering at all. Simply refreshing.

So I bought this shampoo with high expectations and what I got was a disappointment. I buy from third parties so I believe the items I purchased may have come from third parties, but I'm not sure I didn't really try to find out who exactly went through the order. I bought the salon version at home and this one was no different. I also train professionally with Paul Mitchell (I have a degree in cosmetology there) and didn't have high hopes that it was legal, but it is real! However, it's not cheaper here, so if you can get it from your beautician, go for it. I was in a bind and decided to give it a try. The original awapuhi is a great PM classic, a very simple, slightly mild sulfate shampoo. This is NOT Paul Mitchell's Sulfate-Free Awapuhi Black Shampoo!

The scent is amazing! I've wanted to try this shampoo for a long time but couldn't find it at an affordable price.
