Very creamy and easy to blend

I think any complaints I have at the moment are entirely due to my lack of experience or simply user error. They are definitely smooth and go down very well and are a joy to use.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Creamy oil pastels to enhance strokes

This set of oil pastels is very good for me. Most of them are very creamy and some are greasy and sticky. That's cool. Because once you draw hard or press hard, you get great strokes on paper. Love it!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High price

Best I've had

So you have 36 colors and 3 titanium white. only 39. They are VERY PIGMENTED. I can't explain it but they are so much better than Mungyo and Pentel oil pastels. They leave no crumbs. Honestly these are the best pastels I've ever had and I think the only thing better is a professional line like Sennelier or…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I first got a 72 color set from the Mungyo gallery and thought I needed more pastel/light colors. Pastel drawings for personal enjoyment, so I decided to give Paul Rubens a try. 1. Texture: buttery and soft. The texture is buttery and smoother than mungyo. compared to Mungio. 2nd layers: opaque. They lay on thickly as if impasto, while the mungyo layers are thinner and blend better with the underlying colors than would be the case with a coating. I love the thickness that Paul Rubens gives and…
