Great Firm with great People who get stuff done

Having worked extensively at various law firms since graduating from NYU School of Law in 1995 I have found that PWRW has been nothing short of a breath of fresh air. Their core values are centered around treating everyone fairly; ensuring transparency (and not just for compliance); and having strong attorneys drive all activities towards meeting those goals instead of leaving them up to an executive director or managing partner. The size means there will always be some bureaucracy involved…

Pros
  • Great support system
  • Very transparent about internal processes.
  • Strong focus is put into employee development with excellent mentoring opportunities available both internally as well externally through their partnership programs etc
Cons
  • Sometimes feels like too much management involvement can get lost when dealing directly w clients

Excellent multicultural and multi sector organisation

I enjoyed working at PW&G over my six years there - but primarily because it was such an interesting place! The international scope really appealed me- having never previously worked outside North America or Europe before this job (although since leaving that has changed). There were many opportunities for leadership development here too; not just internal promotions within departments/teams etc., which are very important given so much time being spent away from your desk doing client work…

Pros
  • The international scope and the ability to use both UK and US skills and knowledge bases
Cons
  • The time away from desk for client work, and the hours spent in the office!
