No blisters. Doesn't work ☹️

The stone arrived quickly. The price was good! I soaked the stone for over an hour as suggested. I have an air pump that goes with the stone so I didn't think there would be any problems. When I connected the stone there were no bubbles. I left it plugged in all night hoping it would start working, but this gem just doesn't work. It's sad because it's silent, the price is good, the delivery is fast. The stone simply does not create bubbles.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not reliable

Aesthetics, Good Ventilation, Reliability

Over time (3-4 months) the bubbles got smaller, but that doesn't bother me at all (there's still a chance the bubbles will look "thicker". because the stone is covered Pros: - large size creating a nice round column of air in the center of the tank - never detached from the bottom of the tank when I attached it with suction cups - can be carefully buried under debris - that is a fraction of the price you would normally find for accessories in pet stores Cons: - not yet

Air stones that look great and work great

I just bought four of these air stones and added two of them to my 75 gallon tank. Before using, these air stones were immersed in water for 12 hours. I have two air pumps and for one of the pumps, two of the four didn't work properly, but my second "Tetra" air pump had no problems so make sure it's not your air pump. I have two running around my aquarium and they look great. I would recommend these air stones, make sure you soak them in water for at least four hours and make sure your pump is…

Takes a while to work properly

Works great and fish love to swim in bubbles. What is strange, however, is that at first he only ejected bubbles from a small part of the stone. I have a new very large air pump so I don't understand why it doesn't push the bubbles through the full area of the stone. It worked well enough, so I gave it up. As a result, after a few months, blisters began to be released all over the surface. So yes it works exactly like the pictures but for some reason it takes a while. It's still amazing and I…

Should have read the reviews first.

I really wanted a disk shaped vent for my tank. This stone had many reviews and was universally popular. Perhaps, like a handful of other reviewers, I got duds. I let it soak for 24 hours and dropped it into my little 10 gallon QT using a 10 gallon Tetra Whisper pump. It only seemed to bubble up on the outside of the stone and mostly near the breastplate. I figured my pump might not be strong enough for the stone, so I went ahead and bought a 60 gallon dual outlet Tetra Whisper pump. I…

Great quality, low price

I was skeptical based on some negative reviews but bought it anyway. I installed an air stone disc in my 20 gallon molly/swordtail tank and it is way better than my previous air stone rod. I soaked it in warm water for about half an hour before placing it in my tank so all the "air holes" were filled and ready to go. It works fabulous. Lots of bubbles even if covered in gravel. I had a bit of a hard time connecting the air hose, but when I did it fit snugly and snugly with a bit of wobble. Good

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Doesn't work for everything

works best for my dwc at Fish & Aquatic Pets

I have tried this stone along with several others for comparison and effectiveness with a 1110GPH air pump. The stone worked mediocre for about three days before becoming so ineffective that it flooded my roots. I have a lot of experience with 4" cylindrical airstones. It's only been three weeks but so far so good with the cylinders in the DWC setup. EDIT: user error. In my review above I didn't consider the physics. Larger cylindrical stones let in more air, and since air follows the path of…
