IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS - It's plug and play and works very well!

This is the type of product that requires LITTLE* skills to install and set up. So naturally, Revain gets a lot of negative reviews because people don't know what they're doing. Older versions of Windows 10 had issues with this card - this has since been fixed. So if you have a newer version of Windows 10 (1809 or newer), just plug it in and it will work. The driver doesn't install, no hard drive is needed, Windows 10 already has a driver for it and it works great. I've been using it for a week

Works on Windows 10 and Linux, but not for long. DO NOT BUY!

I recently bought this for a cheap pc build. There are many reviews about this WiFi card not working with Windows 10. As of Windows 10 1903 (released May 19, 2019) this is completely fixed. Options: 1. If you have a recent version of Windows 10, make sure you have installed all updates. Update to the latest version (free).2. If you are building a system and planning to install Windows 10, grab Microsoft's Windows 10 Media Creation Tool and create a bootable USB stick based on the latest version

Great PCIe card. Recommended

In general, I don't mind using Wi-Fi at home with full-fledged PCs, but I do have a particular edge case. To test peripherals, I set up a framed PC that normally sits on a workbench but is occasionally moved around the house. When I'm mobile, I connect to my local network via Wi-Fi (many Ubiquiti 802.11ac hotspots throughout the house). I used an Edimax Nano USB wireless network card. It's terrible but that's all I had. It's time for a change, so I bought aTP-Link AC1200 PCIe Wireless Wifi PCIe

  • Great choice

Stops working after a month

I have two of these adapters. First. The 5GHz signal was very weak, much weaker than 2.4GHz. So I had to use 2.4GHz. Then, as I said, it broke - the device manager doesn't see the device at all. Tested on two computers. It doesn't work with both. Revain's customer support was fine. I spent 40 minutes chatting with two reps. I was then forwarded to the manufacturer's customer service. The person representing the manufacturer does not speak English. It was difficult for me to understand what this

TP-LINKAC1200 (WIRELESS) VS. TP-LINK AV2000

First, I bought TP-Link AV2000 (network adapter) and TP-Link AC1200 (PCIe wireless adapter) to compare their speeds. Situation: My girlfriend and I just bought cheap gaming/work computers upstairs and our modem/router downstairs. Since we rent a house, no changes can be made to the house. I made it my mission to find the best solution to access gaming/work/4k streaming internet on our two computers at the same time. I have tested both products and in my experience the wireless adapter (TP-Link…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Empty

I have purchased 2 of these cards and have encountered the same issues with both setups, one at my home (Linksys EA8500 router) and one elsewhere with a different Wi-Fi router installed (Asus, not sure models ). Maps seems to work great for web browsing and other low bandwidth operations like checking email etc. But after being online for a while it crashed and it crashed even faster if you had heavy bandwidth usage. Tasks like watching HD videos or downloading large files. While…
