Bought to make it easier to get into bed after spinal surgery. I didn't think using it as a step stool was a good idea as it started tipping over when I started sitting on the edge of the bed. It's probably comfortable to stand on, but I wouldn't recommend it as a bedside table. It is well made, looks good and is quite heavy.

I like the color and texture of the wood. The edges are all rounded nicely so you can scratch yourself (the corners are a little sharp but I had no problems with that). I really like the hole in the middle as I often use it as a handle to move around. This is a great, durable stool. What movement can you request?

Exactly as shown. Very useful in my newly renovated kitchen. All closets are to the ceiling and at a height of 5 feet 8 inches. I could not reach you! It's easy to learn and makes my life easier! Beautiful wood color and very smooth. A welcome addition to my kitchen and dining room, durable and useful. Beautiful craftsmanship. It goes perfectly with my Amish dining room furniture! Very satisfied!

I really feel like a villain giving our amazing Amish builders less than 5 stars, but this stool arrived without the hole plugs on one side. Even though the stool is nice and stable, the top overlaps the legs so much that the stool is a bit unstable, so you have to be very careful stepping on the middle of the stool and not on the edge. It won't work for its intended purpose, but for a secondary "decorative" use it will do.

Thank you for a sturdy, beautiful stool for my old four-poster bed. Age prevented me from climbing into our beautiful old bed. This stool was clearly made with pride and love. It is solid oak with a beautiful medium finish. It's wide enough for both feet and the height is perfect for our old bed. The hole in the middle makes it easy to pick up and move. I was afraid I would have to get rid of our bed but I'm so glad I have this stool. This is the perfect stool for grandkids to get to the sink…

Looks good but the construction was of poor quality - the parts were bolted together and I could tell it wasn't Amish or handmade. It uses square shank screws and the wood is oddly brittle for something a person would constantly stand on. When I received it, the lower part of one leg was already broken. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the screws were twisted so badly that the wood around them was cracking. This is a design issue, not delivery. When my girlfriend used it the way I planned, it

Heavy, well made and well packaged. However, one of the two screws holding a set of legs to the top was only partially tightened and as it is a square head screw I had to order a #2 square head screwdriver to tighten it - hopefully a jagged crack between the support legs and the top disappears. I'm assuming it's a #2 (1/8") square head screw, but if it's not I'll have to order a second screwdriver. I'm hoping the hole I drilled isn't too shallow or I'll have to use the feet remove and re-drill…
