These things are terrible. I have 6 of these in a set and have never had a failure. Sometimes they just need re-tightening because of drum vibration, but that's the only maintenance you'll ever need.

What can I say? Pearl makes the best stand in the industry under their ICON brand and this mount is the most reliable and durable of the two they offer. While it's less flexible than an adjustable mount, it's stronger, smoother, and less finicky to set up. I love it and my 3 way bend post has significantly more of it than the other adjustable model.
