Penn Plax Calcium X Large 12 Inch Review

My bird was afraid of perch at first He took a while to want to stand on it * I have a Galah (Gala) He loves it now .But his legs are colored pink. I like that he has a good grip and it seems to help to keep his nails trimmed and he can file his beak. It's also high quality and strong, not cheap at all.

I bought this for my macaw and he likes it more than the other perch in his cage but I am very upset that the purple color on his washed is legs! Another perch, same color, different brand, no. I hoped there would be no long-term consequences. Disappointed with the quality from a long trusted and respected pet supplies manufacturer.

I bought this for my rescued cockatoo. She has longer nails and I wanted something to wash her off in addition to the fake nails. This perch is very heavy and durable. I received her plus size and she is larger than expected. Very well made and hopefully last a long time. The only complaint I have is that I received pink and the color is coming off her feet. It's okay, but it sucks that everything is pink.

I used to buy lime perches from the pet store for my red-bellied parrots and we both really liked them. But the ones I bought him ended up turning to metal because he used them so much. I've read reviews about the dumb paints used to paint these calcium rods. I thought I might need to clean the one I bought. I have made. Now my hands are colored magenta. Just like my sink. But on top of that, the washers that attach the perch to the cage are just too small. I bought a large perch for my large bird that sleeps in a large cage. One would think that this would be taken into account when making large poultry products. Sigh. Now I have to build something myself or find/make a puck…
