PENN Stone Accessories 5 5 Inch 2 Inch Review

I liked the look of this aquarium, but after a few days there were almost no more bubbles. I've tried taking it out and cleaning it (not that it's still necessary) but it made no difference. I replaced it with an old one that luckily I didn't throw away, a different brand. It still worked, it just looked ugly.

Many reviews say this stone does not release as much air as shown in the pictures, so good for me. A couple of notes though: if you use a straight-through connection (you can connect the incoming air on one side and another tube to another vent on the other) you won't get as many air bubbles. So keep this in mind, it seems like a lot of air is going through the other tube, sacrificing its own usefulness. But if it's the only stone you'll have, great!

I installed this 5 1/2" hose on my tank just over a month ago. Now only half of the bar produces bubbles. It was great while it lasted, but having to replace it every time I empty my 55-gallon tank makes it too expensive. Will have to look for other brands. My 10 gallon aquarium had an oily film on the surface that the filter couldn't clean. I ordered a 5 1/2" Aqua Mist rock along with a Tetra Whisper 10 air pump. It works great and creates bubbles all over the place (should be flat).
