These are reliable binoculars. Like their cameras and lenses, Pentax produces top quality optics at a better price than other leading brands. They are light and strong, provide a very clear/crisp image. Definitely worth the money.

Given as a gift but I tried it after the recipient opened it. The clarity is great, the size is compact, the adjustable zoom is easy to use and a great add-on feature, and the price is much higher than other similarly priced binoculars. I have Steiner binoculars that are about 10 times more expensive than these, but the Steiner's performance isn't much better. If you are looking for a good compact pair of zoom binoculars then these are a good choice.

I like the Pentax are ok but these are just ok to be honest. 8x is a sharp but very narrow image. In my experience, being away makes the prospect annoying. Because of such a narrow field of view, it would take me a special need to grab them and go. More than 12x the magnet - it's just mmm. Slightly grainy and blurry with a slight fish eye feel. a little sensitive. Little useless feeling. Maybe even a little cheap. I'm keeping them, but like I said honestly, they're fine.

These zoom binoculars are ideal for finding the object you want to view on a distant mountainside and then using a finger to zoom in for a better view. And they're compact, so you can take them with you instead of having to choose between this and a sandwich when you go on a day trip. The field of view is excellent and the scope does not darken as you zoom in. What I had with other products. This is one of those purchases that you won't regret once you get your hands on it.
