California Proposition 65 Warning Label

The blue body comes with a warning label as shown in the picture. WARNING. This product contains chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other diseases. Damage to the reproductive system. How can I use this to filter well water which is known to cause cancer? It would be nice to know before you buy the device.

function, not form.

I really don't like o-rings. Plan to put the o-rings in the box a couple of times before you can actually secure it, before you can actually screw the cartridge on. The internal pipe threads (FPT) are too loose and leaking. Use teflon and more teflon and maybe more to be safe. I've used TMAs from 1.25" to 1" and have had issues as the metal flanges are a little tight for a larger fitting.

Get 4.5 " filters - use check valves

Very good fitment. It was easy to install with the help of a friend with the right plumbing tools. However, the product description is wrong, this installation does not use the 20x2.5 inch filter! They use 4.5 inch filters. I can't believe nobody has pointed this out yet. Helpful Hint: Install shut-off valves on both sides of the filter during installation. prevent all the water from draining out of the house while you change filters. With shut-off valves, changing filters becomes much easier.

Good basic whole house filter

Two units, one mud and one activated carbon filter. just be careful The entire rig has either left or right water entry and I didn't see this listed in the Revain note. I did my install fresh, but I could have saved myself some troubles by choosing the right one. Otherwise, I've been using the same device for over 15 years. You will need a plastic wrench and extra washers, as well as some petroleum jelly to use with the new washers when changing the filter. However, there's no indication of…

Whole house water filter, long-lasting filter capacity

within the average rating of DIY, common tools for installation, it only takes a few connections on local equipment to install in series. You need to understand the installation and where to turn off the city water supply and drain the water from the house water supply system. I recommend installing shut-off valves before and after this filter housing. I use a sediment filter first to extend the life of my finer micro carbon filter. Excellent cleaning water for the whole house, pleasant, no…

Overpriced with no pros but some cons.

Easy to install but I probably wouldn't buy this again for many reasons. With the stater, the entire product is made of plastic, except for the attachment. The nipples connecting each big blue are also plastic. Also annoying is the lack of air pressure relief for each filter. If I have to do it again I would get one with a water pressure gauge for each filter and an air vent for each filter. The price isn't even great as you can get a big blue 20 x 4.5 for about $60 with a mount for a total of…

CHEAP PLASTIC FITTINGS

The housing I received was broken and I didn't know it until it was installed! There are 2 very cheap male plastic fittings that are used to connect separate blue housings. together. We paid a plumber to install it, and during testing, one of the faucets sloshed water. I had to disassemble it completely and found that the fitting was cracked. We replaced it with a brass fitting. Also note the top screws that hold the white bracket in place. We had to take it off to take it apart and found that…
