within average DIY rating, common tools to install, only requires a couple of shark connections on local equipment to install in series. Plumbing and where to turn off the city water supply and drain the water from the house water supply. I recommend installing shut-off valves before and after this filter housing. I use a sediment filter first to extend the life of my finer micro carbon filter. Excellent cleaning water for the whole house, pleasant, no chlorine smell in the shower/bathtub. I suspect the washing machine and ice maker will last longer without city water build-up.
