Enhance your sandbar experience

The anchor worked great and kept our kayaks on the sandbar while we explored it. Make sure the lock is in place to hold the anchor open.

Perfect fit for my 12ft kayak.

So much fun! Great kayak anchor for slightly windy days or choppy water. We actually sit in the water for lunch or snacks and it easily fits in my Old Town Loon 120 so I can just enjoy my meal. Also great for a good fishing spot that you really want to cover without drifting. It's easy to stow away and for only 4 pounds it's always on board. Everything in it is of high quality. The storage bag will last a long time.

Excellent with one caveat

We love kayaking down the fairly fast but calm river near our home. We wanted something light to carry the kayak and this is perfect. Easy to use, adds minimal weight and folds flat for storage. There is some roughness that I would have preferred smoother on the metal itself, which is the only complaint. Otherwise it's a nice design - simple, clean and less likely to catch on.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • I have no dislikes, everything is fine

Rugged & Compact - Watersports

I started kayaking around 2000 (before it became popular) and quickly realized that wind can ruin a potentially good day on the water. I bought an anchor that served me for many years until a friend borrowed it and returned it. I got this as a replacement as I have had a lot of experience with Perception products (and currently own Yak Pescador 12.0) and the anchor is good as expected. At 3 pounds, it is very portable and packs well. The galvanized construction is strong enough to inspire…
