9mm for Ford Escape NOT 7mm!

Bought the wrong one by mistake, 7mm won't fit Ford Escapes. The rotors need 9mm and are not commercially available! I had to use my allen wrench set which had a 9mm allen wrench that took forever to turn. Lessons learned, watch the full video instructions and find the drop down tab option! Quality is excellent, very expensive $7 for a piece, I will buy a Capri tool kit for $13 to get the 9mm piece I need and also have extras. I saved over $350 on replacement rotors, brakes, and brake lines.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Perfect performance for tool kits

We rebuilt the rear brakes on my 2007 Town & Country. We were told we would need a 13/16 socket to remove the pads. Not so! We found that we needed a 7mm allen key, which is hard to come by. Interestingly there was no room for a standard hex key to avoid hitting other parts of the van. So this tool has been tested. It fits perfectly and the person who made them before really tightened them up. But this tool worked very well under pressure. Literally. Highly recommended. Should last a lifetime…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Protection

Breaking the conspiracy

I only bought this excellent 9mm hex bit after discovering that every hex tool kit on the market conveniently includes the 9mm hex bit with all purchases in hardware stores, cars and department stores. . It was clear to me that the automotive industry was conspiring with tool makers to keep that 9mm hex tool out of your reach. You just need to buy it separately as a professional tool and not with normal consumer tools. Specifically, the manufacturer Ford requires the use of this 9mm hex socket…
