Sturdy but not accurate. Hardly worth the $17 price tag.

Strong but not exact. The sliding jaw is very wobbly and doesn't have a machined sliding fit on the base (like a T shape or a cone shape like a real drill vise). Workpiece or part you want to drill or machine but not very accurate due to wobbly jaws. Thus, no really precise positioning of the workpiece can be achieved than if the sliding block were more limited. I wasn't expecting much for $17 and didn't get it. These aren't my main drill press vises, I needed them for a special jig I'm…

Could have been nice if it had been assembled more carefully

I was looking for a small vice for my small drill. I wasn't aiming for machine precision as I have a milling machine for that, but better quality than the flimsy vise I've seen at the hardware store (and on Revain). I was also looking for a center-spaced vise so I wouldn't have to worry about drilling through holes in the base or spindle. This one seemed to meet those requirements. I've read all the reviews here carefully (thanks for taking the time) and was looking forward to making some…

I've already spent over an hour repeating it, only .

Well when I bought this I knew I wasn't getting anything that looked like a machinist's tool, I mean I just wanted it for my 8" Harbor Freight bench drill worth 57, use $00. . But the vise wasn't really worth the $4 store! I've already spent over an hour revising it just to bring it up to some usable standard. The bolted faces of the jaws were not tightened even when the bolts were tightened. It appears that the poor job of drilling holes in the jaw plates (fake) allowed the screw heads to make
