Definitely a must-have if you have the displeasure of working with 2010-era Volkswagens. If you're using non-OEM filters on a 2010's VW, they will most likely crash. Typical. Buy a Bosch and you will be satisfied.

Stamped metal construction does not leave enough room for the ratchet drive square (sleeve). So the tool is not sitting deep enough on the oil filter housing. You can install this tool first and then use the ratchet, but then the type tool may slip out. I would recommend another tool but for the price it works ok.

Doesn't fit PF1218 tightly enough. The filter could be installed (3/4 turn after touching the seal). However, the attachment point of the extension must be moved away from the filter as the extension will prevent the tool from reaching the full depth of the grooves. I tried to pull the extension as far as possible but the tool still slides along the filter grooves. I need to find a better one as my old metal strap wrenches don't fit the large sump and headers.

I am using an oversize oil filter (90915-YZZD3) for my 2008 Toyota Corolla. This tool works great when you remove the filter, it snaps on like a glove on an oil filter. However, after loosening the filter about one turn, try to give the tool a good shake to loosen it from the filter itself as the handle is very tight. If you don't do this and completely unscrew the filter along with the attached tool, it will be difficult to remove the tool.
