Reliable, not afraid of flying feathers

This tool fits my '67 Camaro very well. I have used this tool countless times while figuring out how to rebuild my suspension and it has proven surprisingly reliable and easy to use.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Modified, then earned.

Working. However, if you use them on an old Ford, especially a Mustang, it's too long. I had to cut off about 4 inches and use a spacer to keep this thing from falling to the ground. Once you figure it out, it works wonderfully. Simplified my setup after changing the tool.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Crumpled

Worked great for me

Old car, one of the front springs is really bad I thought I had it but no. This tool allowed the spring to be installed without having to disassemble the ball joint again. The bolt is too long for my application, so I added 6" long steel tubing to effectively tap the threads needed for compression.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some little things

Works great on my Impala 73

Highly recommend this spring compressor. Have replaced the front springs with new, reinforced springs. The spring compressor was able to "grab" the coils without gap problems. Remember to lubricate the threads with multipurpose grease to allow the compressor to compress and decompress the spring.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Modern
