Not Fit 2005 Ford Ranger 3.0L

Description AND product details say "fits 1988 2.9L to 3.0L engines". Replaced the water pump on a Ford Ranger XLT 3.0L. 2005. This tool is not suitable for fixing the fan to the pulley nut. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of instructions for the tools. long wrench I know it's common sense. It goes to the fan to the pulley nut. My Haynes manual for the truck doesn't help either due to the poor quality of the black and white photos. Back to Plan A; pipe wrench.

Works great!

I was a bit worried when I bought it after seeing some photos of this tool bent. All I can say is that anyone who bends must have a nasty stuck fan clutch nut! This tool is very durable and thick! I kept trying to keep the belt as taut as possible and hit the wrench with a 4 pound hammer and it just spun in the serpentine belt. After trying for 45 minutes I gave up and went to AutoZone for a tool. They had nothing to rent. I think it's too old fashioned now. But saw this guy here and ordered…

WILL NOT fit the TOP of 13mm bolts BUT.

This tool sounds like it will fit MORE 10mm and 13mm screw heads but not 13mm screw heads. not even close!. I used it on my 2002 Olds Bravada (4.2L engine) as do most Outriders, Envoys etc so I simply removed 2 bolts (13mm) this tool into the open holes on the water pump pulley plugged in and then backed off the 2 bolts while holding the tool, used my giant adjustable wrench on the fan clutch nut, held both in place and used a little muscle strength. freed! I was so happy! But please revise the

Simple and light Good for nuts and accessories

Okay. I admit it; I"addicted to instruments". I bought this because I was changing the fan clutch in my '98 GMC Sierra. Job I did on a previous GM truck. And vowed that if I ever replaced the fan clutch again I would have a "tool". And I *hopelessly"drug addict". And cheaper than $20? I could not resist. It's as simple as it gets. This will allow you to hold the fan stationary while you pull the large wrench you have on the large nut that holds the threaded sleeve on the water pump drive. The…

Great tool for GMC owners.

There's nothing quite like these fan clutch removal tools. I spent hours arguing with the fan clutch pulley and nut. Needless to say I lost. This only took two minutes. The holes on this one are too small for 13mm screw heads. The trick with 13mm bolts (like mine) is to remove two adjacent bolts from the water pump pulley and thread the tool onto the pulley exactly where you removed the two bolts. Screw in the screws flush. It's not necessary to turn it, but you can destroy the screw's threads…
