This is the second Perky Pet 50144 Deluxe Chalet Cedar Feeder I have owned. My first broke during a move through no fault of the product's strength or quality. This is the second time I have bought this product and this time I had to return the first one because it came in a box that was too big and not well packaged. Bought this feeder because it said it holds 5 pounds of seed and has tallow holders. I weighed how many seeds it can hold on my postal scale and it only holds about 4-4.5 pounds of seeds. The only other problem with it is that it doesn't have a hook to hang it. It comes with a short rope without an end. I live on the second floor and wanted to make sure it wouldn't come loose.
