I like this gasket manufacturer. I used it to caulk the rim of the sink by placing a bead of this material under the rim. Very good product.

Unlike a regular silicone pad, this pad dries longer and dries to a firmer consistency than the standard pad, still flexible but significantly more durable. Worked well, easy to use.

I realize this can be used as a standalone pad, but I've never used it that way. I only add a very thin layer on each side of the hard pad at a time to help seal it. I made 4 water pumps this way and each one worked perfectly. However, read the instructions. Used it to enlarge the silicone gasket on my '03 Corolla's new valve cover. Difficult to squeeze the tube (requires a lot of force) and still have a steady hand to apply the material in a straight line. I found it easiest to use slide clamps to gently apply plenty of pressure to the vial to force the contents out so I could focus on the exact line of curvature.
