Bought because our cat keeps losing the collar but we need to 'call' her so the birds at the feeder know she's coming. I have 2 more cats. One was put on each cat (two house cats and only one house cat) and within 2 weeks the collar was worn so badly that it looked like a lion's mane. I lined up all the cats to get new collars from the stack and noticed that each color got so tight that their neck fur fell out!

I bought these for my cat but found they lacked the usual protection found in cat collars. If the cat gets caught on a branch or ledge, the collar must open or stretch to allow the cat to escape. They don't do either and are essentially a death trap for cats. I would never put a cat in one like this and I encourage any interested buyer to keep looking and don't fall for the low price. It may not cost you much, but your cat may end up footing the bill with her life.

So I read the reviews before buying and didn't see where the break was written. I didn't look for this because I have 5 cats and their collars will last about a week or less. The collars themselves are beautiful, different colors are mixed with them hence the dazzling description. The clasp is very strong and will not break. These are good collars, but not great. placed in a bowl of water and then dripped onto the collar and the color will spread to the cat's fur. Another problem is that when you get it to the right size it tends to tear and they can get their teeth or paws stuck in it. I had to use double bindings to prevent this. A cat that I had to put an old collar on kept clinging to its teeth. It just doesn't stay where it's set. I'm just not very happy with the product. When I have more money I will order…
