Louder than advertised

It was supposed to be quiet but couldn't be used in the bedroom as it was very noisy. The tubing supplied was medical grade tubing, not the plastic tubing commonly used for aquariums.

Powerful and Quiet - Air Pumps

I've been in aquariums for 40 years and I know the price. For the money believe me this is the best. This is a powerful yet adjustable and quiet air pump. The only downside would be that it's bulky in size.

Cheap, quiet

Really quiet and has 4 air outlets. So I don't have to worry about checking 3 air pumps, great upgrade for my fish. And the good thing is that they give you extra air stones. It's a bang for the buck

Not that quiet and it can whistle

Okay as it's near water one problem is that it doesn't have a CE mark from Europe indicating it's safe. It has a symbol that looks almost like the Euro CE but means Chinese export. So much for safety. The device actually has four independent pumps, each connected to a line. It's relatively quiet at top speed, but as it slows down it starts to emit a high-pitched whistle. It seems to run fine at full throttle with all four pump outputs.

Got rid of the noise. - Fish & Aquatic Animals

I live in a small house. Couldn't get rid of the noise. Finally, fold the towel in half, place a thick mold block on top, and then place the pump inside the double-folded pillow on top of the styrofoam. Works like a clock - the noise is gone. The pump is very powerful. OK. After writing the above review I've had more time with this thing. I wear hearing aids (wife says I'm deaf even with them) and it's driving me crazy. Inexpensive and powerful (actual price approx. 3 times higher than initial purchase)

I bought a Revain air pump a few weeks ago. It was nonsense. I bought it to hatch Artemia eggs. The noise level is low and doesn't bother me at all. I hatch Artemia in the kitchen, so the noise level is important. The pump is quite powerful and dispenses the two 3 liter bottles I have with ample water circulation.
