All new lightweight cast aluminum housings. Tailored advance curve for optimal performance and drivability. Integrated Ignitor II electronic ignition with variable dwell maintains peak energy throughout the entire RPM range, reducing misfires while improving engine performance. Develops on average 4 times more available energy between 3000 and 5000 RPM, and 2 times more available plug voltage. Peak current level is reached just prior to spark for maximum energy without the heat build-up, increasing coil and module life.

Improved Automotive Ignition System

This electronic distributor has been a game changer for my car`s ignition system. The improved spark has resulted in better gas mileage and increased performance .The installation was simple and the quality of the MATERIALS is top-notch. The only con is that it is priced higher than other options on the market but it's worth it for the added benefits. Overall, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to upgrade their automotive ignition system..

Early failure, no Pertronix support

Good looks, meets special requirements. It ran fine for about 5 hours on the Lotus twin-chamber racing engine, then the internal trigger module failed in the pre-lineup (i.e. lost race weekend). Pertronix Support has not responded to my request for a part number for the replacement module. I cannot recommend it for these reasons. Edit: D500701 replacement module, much cheaper here than elsewhere but still around $90.
